Ramadhan di Brunei

(Actually entry nih patut lama dah post..tp due to busy schedule..la ni baru terhegeh2 nk post..sorry frens...)

This is first time I have to celebrate Ramadhan luar M'sia. After 2 weeks ramadhan berlalu, baru terasa betul pepatah "Hujan emas di negeri orang, hujan batu di negeri sendiri, baik lagi negeri sendiri". If in Malaysia, we can feel that betapa meriahnye ramadhan disambut. Time bukak puasa, everywhere we can find the bazaar ramadhan & we can see kebanyakan bazaar mmg sgt pack.

Here also got bazaar ramadhan but the bigest one that i know is only at Bandar Begawan, 1 1/2 hours from our bungalow. They start the business at 2pm (very early becos bukak puasa here is about 6.30 pm). For our bungalow area (Lumut) near to Kuala Belait, it's very hard to find bazaar, maybe disebab penduduk yang tak ramai. Brunei only got 300,000 penduduk. Terrace house is very rare to see, most of it is rumah atas tanah lot. Diorang mmg kaya tanah.

The food variety here also not so many as in M'sia. Mostly all boots sell ikan bakar, ayam bakar, nasi ayam, nasi lemak, etc. Not so many special local dish. The only one that i know is Ambuyat. Ianya sagu dan dimakan dengan lauk pauk n kuah sebagai ganti nasi. Maybe I have to dick more with the local people about their special local dish.

On first day puasa, i got chance to go to their Bazaar in Bandar Begawan. Luckily sempat snap few pic of their local kueh. I also realize, everywhere they sell air selasih (can remember the local name), it was evaporited milk mix with a little bit ice-cream soda, perasa, and biji selasih. Sometime the color of milk is green or yellow, depend pd apa perasa yg mereka letak. The taste pon not bad. But apa yg kureng sket, they use the recycle plastic bottle (such Pepsi, Coke) utk isi air selasih dan jual. I'm a little bit couries bout the cleanliness. Dunno why they don't want to use plastic bag instead.

Ni special kueh in Brunei..but forgot the name already...sorry..

Yang ni pun same..forgot the name but quite nice..ada rasa yam, durian, cempedak.

I've tried their chicken rice before but selera org Brunei mmg agak berbeza dgn orang Malaysia. Sambal Brunei mmg sgt lain dari sambal Msia. Especially sambal belacan and sambal soto. Jika di Msia, sambal soto kebanyakannye makan bersama sambal hitam, dan supnya adalah dari rempah soto, tp di Brunei, sup soto kadang2 ada yang rasa sup tulang, ada yg rasa sup sayur, dan smbal nye ada yg gune sambal merah, ada yg cili api goreng, ada yang gune cili api blender semata-mata. Pelikkan? But its not that I maksudkan yang diorang x pandai masak, mungkin hanya selera mereka agak berbeza dari orang Msia.

Every ramadhan, Sultan Brunei akan bersedekah kurma pada setiap rakyat baginda..at least 2 pack for each house.

Actually there is many more that make me feel different....kalau story x muat la pulak. Maybe in the next entry. But I really missed to celebrate ramadhan in Malaysia. The sadis one is, i only got chance to celebrate ramadhan with my beloved husband on our first year marriage. 2nd year pulak aku berpantang kat kampung Segamat, and 3rd year nih, kat tempat org pulak..uwaaaaaa........

Brunei..

Actually I should update the sequel of "Balik Kampung 3" long time ago, unfortunately due to a very busy schedule I'll try to finish it before mid of Sept 09 (agak kucai lana la this blog). This time pun curi2 masa nak blogging. I was really damn busy since early July 09 becos of the preparation to mobilise to Brunei. Don't get confuse, because it was just involve the office matters not personal and family. Our project team have to mobilise to Brunei when the Onshore Construction has started in early July and we as the PMC team must be based at the site office as stated in the agreement.

So sad for me, have to sacrifice my time with Aliyyah for job sake. Wish that this project will running smooth and can be completed as early in Nov 09.

Balik Kampung!!!! (2)

At Kedah, not so many places that we can visit because of Aliyyah's condition. So, abah decided only to bring us makan2 jek la. So first makan place yang abah bawak, Warung Laksa Zakaria Telok Kechai (masuk dlm Warung Kita kt Astro).

Actually the specialty of the Zakaria's that made his laksa different from the others is Sambal Cocunut (Yellow color, not spicy and suits to the laksa taste). Few years ago, price for 1 set of laksa is about RM 1.50 (crazy price for KL huh?) But current price is about RM 2.50, still reasonable and sgt puas hati. Most local normally bought this laksa by kg. 1kg of laksa is about RM 10 (boleh makan smpai terbuntang). This warung also sell the best pulut udang and sate in Kuala Kedah. Sorry to say but their sate is much more better than Sate Kajang Haji S**u*i (from my opinion la...).

2nd place is Behoon/Mee Sup Siam Pekan Rabu. Before that, Ibu sempat bought a Gamalin Plus at one of kawan abah shop there with a lower price. At coincidence, abah met his old fren (ex-classmate) at the stall. Rupenye, abah's fren meniaga air next of Mee Sup Siam stall. So we ordered a very special air asam boi from him. It's quite nice, different taste and off course hard to find at other places. Price is reasonable and puas hati as usual.

Masuk jek kereta, Aliyyah cannot tahan anymore. She fell asleep until we reach at home...

Perkembangan Aliyyah..

 HAliyyah masa newborn, mmg sebijik cam anak mamak. First time ibu dpt tgk Aliyyah kat wad baby 3 hari lepas deliver, terkezut ibu..biar betul..huhu..Aliyyah gelap dan merah, hampir sama kulit anak india sebelah dia. Baby len semua putih2. Yelah nk wat cane..abah dia pun de rupe mamak2 sket, maklum la tok wan keturunan Acheh. (lahir 2.8kg)

Masa Ummi pegang Aliyyah lepas dibenarkan kuar dr hospital, Ummi pon rasa cam pelik..uish betulke cucuku??...huhu..x pernah keturunan dia kuar rupe camnih. Mata, idung, mulut..smua acuan lain...kekekkeke. Tp tetap smua org syg..tetap comey...x kisahla..janji sehat smpurna pun dah syukur pd Allah.

Bile hari bertambah hari, bertambah bulan, muke Aliyyah dah x segelap masa lahir. Dah makin cerah. Tp ibu x kisah, gelap ke cerah ke..same jek, tetap anak ibu. Aliyyah dah pndai senyum pada org masa genap umur sebulan. Masa tuh klu nk snap pic, mmg best...fotogenik and sentiasa tersenyum. Biasalah baby, setiap bulan akan berubah. Bile dah makin besar, makin susah nk snap pic dia.

3 bulan

kenal org (dah mule takut pada org asing), gelak kecik, berceloteh

4 bulan

pndai kembangkan tapak tgn bile Ummi tepuk amai2 kt tgn Ummi, semakin takut pd org and tempat asing.

5 bulan
masuk walker (x pndai meniarap lg, tp masuk walker jalan bukan men laju), gelak mengekek, pndai tepuk amai (tp smpai skang x pndai tepuk tgn sndri, asik tepuk tgn org. Ummi dah confusekan Aliyyah). Pandai sembur mulut...

6 bulan
Start solid food. Makan nestum sehari skali. Pndai cakap babaababa.

7 bulan

Pandai tata (lambai). Makan nestum pagi, bubur ptg. Dah start mulut becok sket, dah leh cakap papapapa...babababababa... (Tapi x pndai2 meniarap..ibu dah risau), pandai sembur air kosong dgn muke nakal bile ibu suap (saje nk geramkan ibu). Asik asah kuku macam kucing. Pehtu mule ceku org.

8 bulan

Baru meniarap (lega sket). Pehtu guling, mengundur. Dah pndai ckp papapapa..mamamama...tatatattata...ceceecececece....ssssshhhhhshhhshsh..kekekekeke. Mudah tertarik pd mende kt syiling. Asik buat tgn ketam, dah friendly sket ngn org. Tp jgn dekatkan muke dgn Aliyyah, confirm calar kene cekau.

9 Bulan

Pandai bertarik...n mulut bertambah becok..asik bebel..skang dah byk konsonan dia sebut..dah terbelit-belit lidah ibu nk ajuk..huhu. Makan bubur 2 hari skali, nestum skali, malam makan roti sbb berat Aliyyah x naik2 dr umur 6 bulan (pakse dia makan byk sket). Skill mencekau, mengorek makin dasat (siap de sound effect bunyi rimau).

Wakaka...nih anak ibu ke anak rimau nih..huhu. X tau le awatnye hobi Aliyyah asik mencakar muke org. Kalau tgk pada perkembangan Aliyyah, semua org ckp lmbatnye...risau tau ibu. Yelah anak org 8 bulan dah mule berdiri..Aliyyah baru meniarap. Ibu selalu risau. Kekadang rasa nk bawak pi specialist. Tp Aliyyah aktif, so ummi x galakkan. Ummi suh ibu sabar jek. Ibu berdoa, skurang2nye umur setahun, Aliyyah dah buleh duduk sndri. X kisah la lambat sket dr org len, but at least ada perkembangan, baru la lega sket hati ibu. Biarla org nak kate ape pun kt anak ibu, ibu x kisah...harap2nye biar la kate2 seorang hamba Allah yg baik budi pekertinye (terjumpe kt klinik masa Aliyyah 5 bulan) ada ckp, "mungkin Aliyyah akan jadi org yg tersohor satu hari nanti" harap2nye termakbul berkat mulut dia. Semoga yg baik2 saje untuk Aliyyah. Amin....

Balik Kampung!!!!!!!!! (1)

6hb haritu balik kg abah. Abah dah lama sgt tingin balik kg. So kite kasi can kt abah..ibu pon amik cuti and otomatik buleh spend more time ngn gegirl ibu ni. After abah finish work at 10pm, straightly drive to Segamat amik Aliyyah. Besoknye terus tekan balik Kedah. On the way tu...masa Aliyyah tgh sedap tido, tetibe ibu terperasan de byk taik mate on the left eye. Alemak..anak ibu kene sakit mate rupenye..ala ciannye, baru nk syonot2 balik kg.

So, terpakse singgah KL, pi klinik check kt doktor. Dapat ubat titis and ubat gatal/selsema, then singgah rumah, mandikan Aliyyah kejap pehtu bg ubat. Masa nk letak ubat titis mate, melalak2 anak ibu sorang ni...kesian ibu tgk. Bg Aliyyah tido sat, pehtu kol 11pm tekan balik Kedah. Arrived at 4am. Mate Aliyyah makin teruk (melekat) kecian sgt.. Mak yg sambut n dah ready dah tempat beradu kiterang..semua mak dah sediakan (time kacih mak...).

Kol 9 pagi dengan x cukup tido, bgn le jugak..yelah klu x nk bgn kol bape lak kan..huhu...mate Aliyyah dah ok sket. Pehtu baru aku tau, kalau sakit mate nih..dia effect hidung skali sbb dr hidung la leh kene sakit mate (patutpun doktor bg ubat selsema). Aliyyah asik merengek jek sbb x comfortable kene selsema n batuk.

8hb malam tuh, kami makan besar..mak le yg masak 70% n len2 de abang ipar buat bakar2 sket. Ada udang galah bakar, sotong bakar, lala bakar, sup lala, udang masak sambal, siakap stim..

Kol 2 pagi jek..Aliyyah start melalak..sian dia..ibu kekadang geram... Terkejut2 Aliyyah kene marah ngn ibu..tp lepas tuh nyesal..abah yg sabar..nk bg Aliyyah diam terpakse bawak naik kete. Masuk kete senyap terus gelak2..ooo..suke ye...x smpai 10 minit terus tido dlm pelukan ibu..pehtu bawak balik baru ok..so setiap malam la kiterang camtuh..huhu..apo nk buek...(To be continued....)

Hubby Masak

Actually, ni yesterday punye story...tapi aku nk story jugak huhu... Semalam mmg penat sangat. Macam2 hal dekat office. Sampai rumah pon dah dekat pukul 7pm.

Sampai je depan pintu rumah aku dah terbau kari...perghhh perut dah le lapar..pehtu dgr usssssssshhhhhhh issssssssshhhhhhhh cam tengah goreng sumthing. Wah...bau cam udang goreng.

Ghupenye...hubby aku masak. Nk tau pe dia masak? Ha mestila masakan peberet dia, kari ikan bawal ala mamak and udang galah goreng..cayalah...(Ekceli seumur hidup aku x pernah masak kari ikan, kari telur and ayam pernah le sebab mmg aku tak suka makan kari ikan).

Walaupun aku tak suka makan kari ikan, lagipun dari kecik mak aku x habes2 buat kari ikan pakai ikan tenggiri dengan merah (dua-dua aku x suke) tapi excited nak rasa kari ikan hubby aku ni. Tak tunggu dah, terus bentang tikar (sebab nk tgk tv, makan kat meja x besh), cedok nasi. Hubby aku bancuh air Ribena (peberet dia lagi)..and Bismillah.....

Perghhh........memang syahdu tol..sedap siot. Dah la tengah lapar. Kagum gak sbb dia buleh bukak selera aku makan kari ikan and x sangka ikan bawal nih memang sedap buat kari rupenye. Hubby aku lak asik kembang kempis idung asik kene puji, kekekekekeke....

Harini aku shopping kat masjid india dgn cousin (Ana). Beli stok kain untuk buat baju raya. Penat sangat...hubby aku plak kije malam kene pi KLIA. So aku just buat megi goreng. Tp malas nk snap pic sbb cam malu le plak..megi pn nk amik gambar gak ke..huhu

Susu Aliyyah 2

Continuation from the last post (dun have time to update last week), I went to KLCC & Ampang Park. Niat nk survey susu Aliyyah but then dah melalut pi shopping mende lain.

After 2 hours pusing dalam KLCC and Ampang Park, aku still not sure susu apa nak beli untuk Aliyyah. On the way back to home I've decided to try Frisolac Gold. I went to KK Mart near my housing area but no small pack and then went to UO Supermarket then I found this.

From the feeding table, it was quite different from Enfalec A+. For Enfalec A+, they recommend 7-8oz 5 times per day for 8 months baby. But for Frisolac, it is only 6oz 3 times per day. Maybe it will suits to Aliyyah since dia pun tak kuat minum susu.

Balik rumah, penat2 aku sempat goreng Spaghetti for my hubby. Lately nih takde mood nak makan nasi. Speghetti goreng ni pon senang jek, sekejap dah siap.

So last Friday, aku balik Segamat jenguk Aliyyah and dengan harapan she will love this FM. Unfortunately, lepas 3 hari Aliyyah minum FM ni dia macam re-act yang dia x gemar rasa susu ni. So terpaksa tukar balik ke Enfalec A+. Aku pun dah give up. Rasanya lepas ni tak nak tukar susu lagi. Tunggu la umur dia setahun baru ricky FM lain.
